Tom Bowman

Janice Lane

General Manager

I graduated from the University of Maryland College Park where I received my BA in Business. In 1997, I earned my CPA certification. I have been working for Bowman & Company since 2004. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family & our dog and attending concerts.

Christy Fox

Payroll Manager, Office Manager

I moved to Maryland in 2001 and then moved back to my home state of Iowa in 2016 where I continue to work remotely. I have 2 daughters and 3 wonderful grandchildren. I have been part of the Bowman & Company team since December 2011. In my free time I enjoy spending time with family and friends, traveling and watching the Baltimore Ravens.

Mark Bowman

Accounting Manager

I graduated from Arcadia University where I received a degree in Accounting. I have been working for Bowman & Company since June 2012. In my spare time I enjoy attending Baltimore Ravens and Orioles games.

Christine Neubauer

Accounting Manager

I graduated from Fairfield University in May 1987 and proceeded to pass the CPA exam on my first attempt the following month while working for a “Big Six” accounting firm. I joined Bowman & Company in August, 2016. I love talking about taxes, the Ravens, taxes, NASCAR, spending time with family and still more taxes.

Jessica Lawson

Accounting Manager

I graduated from Bowling Green State University in 2009 with an Education degree, specializing in teaching the Deaf and Hard of Hearing. After serving as a public school teacher for 7 years, my lifetime love of learning led me to continue my own education into the field of accounting and taxes. I have been a part of the Bowman & Company team since December of 2016. Outside of work, I enjoy doing Pilates, eating sushi, and learning to play the guitar.

Sue Straney

Bookkeeper, Individual Tax Preparer

I graduated from Brown University and from Yale University, with degrees in Biology and Molecular Biophysics and Biochemistry. In 2009, I earned Enrolled Agent status from the IRS. I received a certificate in advanced accounting from UMUC in 2012. I have been working for Bowman & Company since August 2011. In my spare time, I enjoy playing in bands, hiking and spending time with family and friends.

Lisa Messerschmidt

Bookkeeper

I graduated from Francis Marion University with a Bachelor of Business Administration. I started doing my own bookkeeping at age 16 when my father taught me how to do my own taxes. I have been working for Bowman & Company since 2011. I have a wonderful husband, 3 daughters, a son-in-law, and a granddaughter. In my free time I enjoy scuba diving, reading and spending time with my family.

Robert Manheimer

Bookkeeper

I graduated from The University of Maryland in 199 with a degree in finance.  I was a Stocks & Futures trade for 17 years before coming to Bowman & Company.  In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family, watching Terps basketball & figuring out ways to expend my dog’s endless supply of energy.

Jennifer Skrzypczak

Client Services Coordinator

I graduated from Penn State University with a degree in Political Science. After living in California for almost ten years, I have moved back to the East Coast and joined Bowman & Company in September 2018. In my free time I enjoy watching football, Indy Car racing, visiting locally owned restaurants and breweries, and spending time with my family and friends.

Debra Hicks

Payroll Specialist

As a graduate of the American Institute of Commerce, I worked in a variety of office environments, then took a hiatus to homeschool my children (K-12), who will all have graduated with honors. I joined the Bowman team in 2018. In my spare time, I enjoy helping people, reading and continuing to learn about the fascinating people, places and events of this wonderful world we live in.

Tarene Griffiths

Administrative Assistant

I graduated from Everest College in May 2013 where I received my associate’s degree in Criminal Justice. I started at Bowman & Company as a temp in Jan 2018 and became permanent January 2019. Outside of work I enjoy hanging out with friends, taking road trips with my family and online shopping!
